防衛に向けて，幸先よく先勝。伊藤女流四段の72手目が明暗を分けたようです。
清麗戦予選再挑戦トーナメント，中七海女流三段が竹内優月女流2級に勝利。
竹内女流2級は敗退。勝った中女流三段は矢内理絵子女流五弾との対局。
マイナビ女子オープン，加藤桃子女流四段が宮澤紗希女流初段に勝ち，
準決勝へ。
順位戦B級2組，古賀悠聖六段(8)が羽生善治九段(1)に勝ち，
勝った古賀六段が4勝2敗，負けた羽生九段が3勝3敗となりました。
同じく順位戦B級2組，久保利明九段(18)が谷川浩司十七世名人(12)に勝ち，
ただ一人の全勝を守り，6勝0敗。負けた谷川十七世名人は2勝4敗。

WTA Finals, サバレンカ選手がペグラ選手相手にフルセットで勝利して，
サバレンカ選手は2勝0敗，ペグラ選手は1勝1敗となりました。
ガウフ選手はパオリーニ選手相手にストレート勝ちで1勝1敗となりました。
パオリーニ選手は0勝2敗となりました。
最終試合，パオリーニ選手がペグラ選手相手にストレート勝ちで，
ガウフ選手がサバレンカ選手相手にストレート負けの場合でも，
セット取得率はパオリーニ選手は2-4(0.333), ガウフ選手が3-4(0.429),
ペグラ選手が3-5(0.375)となっており，実質的には敗退が決定しているのですが，
当日，ガウフ選手，ペグラ選手が棄権しないとも限らないので，
確定はしていない状況ですね。
2勝1敗が3名のパターン，1勝2敗が3名のパターンのどちらとなるのか，
もし1勝1敗が3名の場合，そこから二連勝しての優勝があるのか，
なかなか興味深い展開です。
