負けた大橋七段は初日が出ず，0勝2敗となりました。
王位戦予選，藤本渚六段が宮本広志六段に勝ち，準決勝へ。
達人戦予選，郷田真隆九段が矢倉則広七段に勝ち，本戦へ。

WTA1000 Wuhan, 第2シードのシフィオンテク選手は第7シードのパオリーニ選手相手に
ストレート負けで，準々決勝での敗退となりました。
準決勝の組み合わせは，
第1シードのサバレンカ選手vs第6シードのペグラ選手，
第3シードのガウフ選手vs第7シードのパオリーニ選手，
WTA1000として恥ずかしくない対戦カードですね。
ATP1000 Shanghai, こちらはノーシードの選手の頑張りで，
第16シードのメドベージェフ選手vsランデルクスネ選手，
第4シードのジョコビッチ選手vsバチェロット選手，
Mastersとしては少し寂しい対戦カードかなあ。
とはいえ，メドベージェフ選手とジョコビッチ選手には久しぶりに
