王将戦一次予選決勝，石川優太五段が狩山幹生五段に勝ち，
二次予選進出を決めました。

女子シングルス準々決勝第1試合，サバレンカ選手がジェン・チンウェン選手に
ストレート勝ちで，準決勝へ。
女子シングルス準々決勝第2試合，シフィオンテク選手がスビトリーナ選手に
こちらもストレート勝ちで，準決勝へ。
準決勝のひとつはサバレンカvsシフィオンテク戦となりました。

私が小学生の頃はすでに怪我が多くなり，王貞治選手との間に
成績の差が出てきた頃で，全盛期を知ることはなかったのですが，
クラスで一番仲の良い友達が長嶋茂雄さんのファンで
しかも彼の父親の会社が接待用に後楽園の年間指定席を押さえていて
年に2,3回，友達と野球観戦に行っていました。
日本経済の経済成長とのシンクロがよく言われますが，本当に
「国民的英雄」だったと思います。合掌。
